SOC-101 - Introduction to Sociology SOC-101 - Introduction to Sociology 3 credits An introductory course designed to acquaint the student with a working knowledge of the concepts used by sociologists and with the well-established generalizations in the field. Topics to be discussed include socialization, culture, population, group processes, social stratification ethnic/racial stratification, gender stratification and social change. Mass Transfer Gen Ed Foundation: Credits earned in this course are counted towards the Mass Transfer Gen Ed Foundation’s Behavioral and Social Sciences requirements.
