The Parent Education Graduate Certificate results in eligibility for teaching licensure as a parent educator. Parent educators typically work in Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classes, engage in home visits, or can work in specialized areas such as a hospital or with incarcerated parents. Parent educators facilitate groups of adults during their journey of parenting. Student candidates will receive an overview of the development of infants, toddlers, and young children, as well as parenthood and adult development.
