AMSL 101 - American Sign Language I AMSL 101 - American Sign Language I This course is designed to develop basic communicative skills in American Sign Language. This course will emphasize grammatical structures, sign vocabulary, fingerspelling, numbers, expressive and receptive skills, facial grammar and non-manual communication, and the anatomy and physiology of the human hearing system and hearing loss. Additionally, this course provides an introduction to the culture of the Deaf community. Corequisite: ENGL021 and ENGL032 Corequisite: ENGL 021 and ENGL 032
