SOCA 215 - Perspectives On Race, Gender, Class and Culture SOCA 215 - Perspectives On Race, Gender, Class and Culture This course explores the effects of social structure and of dominant and subcultural norms and values on individuals, families and groups. Racism, sexism, homophobia, ageism, class bias and rigid gender roles are examined in depth with focus on the effects of advanced industrial capitalism on these phenomena.
