FT 113 — Basic Air Ops, S-270 Units: 3

This course introduces students to the fundamental use of aircraft in wildland fire suppression and management. Emphasis is placed on aviation safety, resource capabilities, communication procedures, and operational protocols for both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. Designed to meet NWCG S-270 Basic Air Operations standards, this course prepares students for safe and effective air-ground coordination and operations within the wildland fire environment. Upon completion students will receive a certification from NWCG for S-270 Basic Air Operations.
