AMT A215L — Powerplant Mechanics Laboratory 2 Credits

Practical application of the fundamentals of reciprocating and turbine engines, engine inspection, and the following systems: engine instrument, engine fire protection, engine electrical, engine lubrication, ignition and starting, engine fuel and fuel metering, reciprocating engine induction and cooling, turbine engine air, engine exhaust and reverser, and propellers. Prepares students for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Mechanics Powerplant Oral and Practical Exam. Registration Restrictions: Completed Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Form 8610-2, Airman Certificate and/or Rating Application signed in block V by FAA Airworthiness Inspector, or instructor approval
