BIOL A677 — Advanced Tundra and Taiga Ecosystems 3 Credits
In-depth analysis of tundra and taiga ecosystems with emphasis on system functions and dynamics. Comparisons with other terrestrial systems will be made, and unique characteristics will be emphasized. Special Note: In addition to meeting all requirements for BIOL A477 , graduate students will be required to research the literature on a current topic in tundra and taiga ecosystems, submit an extensive paper summarizing their findings including designs for future experiments on the subject, and give a seminar on the same topic.
