Introduces experimental investigation of the properties of civil engineering materials and the basic principles of mechanics. Discusses bonding and structure of materials at the molecular level and relationship to engineering properties. Discusses concrete mix design, asphalt testing and the use of standard testing procedures for analyzing other engineering materials. Registration Restrictions: Admission to the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or the Master of Science in Civil Engineering
