Examines and describes Alaska Native cultures and ways of being using history, culture, and the social context. Covers Indigenous approaches to values, behavior, balance, interconnection of family and community through cultural ways of knowing, and the importance of Elders and ancestors for life towards resiliency and reciprocity as culture adapts to national and global societies. Examines Alaska Native traditional values as holistic approaches towards wellness and healing as a critical concept. Registration Restrictions: Graduate standing
