EMT A235 — Advanced Emergency Medical Technician 10 Credits
Provides training for Advanced Emergency Medical Training (AEMT) using invasive procedures such as IV therapy, the use of advanced airway devices, medication administration and cardiac monitoring. Individuals who complete the course are eligible to take the National Registry AEMT exam. Special Note: Students must have the strength to be able to move victims, sufficient vision to assess condition of victims and dexterity to perform the skills application procedures. Registration Restrictions: Provide evidence of state or national certification, at a minimum, as an Emergency Medical Technician I. Provide evidence of CPR training at the professional provider level (BLS). Restriction may be waived with instructor approval.
