HUMS A307 — Advanced Trauma Informed Work with Children 3 Credits
Extends knowledge of learning theory to functional behavior assessments of problem behaviors and appropriate interventions in children. Examines the development of behavior support plans using non-aversive interventions for challenging and problematic behaviors with children, with a particular focus on understanding trauma and its impact on children's mental health. Special Note: It is recommended that students have completed foundational coursework in psychology, child development, or a related field. Not available for credit to students who have completed HUMS A207 .
