MATH A113 — Numbers and Society 3 Credits

A quantitative literacy course showcasing how our society uses mathematics. Topics include the mathematics of elections and voting, finance, cryptography, probability, and descriptive statistics. Students will learn techniques such as growth models, modular arithmetic, basic logic, and rules of probability and chance.
