Covers the use of solid modeling software to produce three-dimensional parts and assemblies, and two-dimensional engineering drawings. Introduces the concept of parametric modeling as a means to capture and maintain design intent. Covers fabrication techniques used to make machine elements, including an introduction to tolerances and stack-up analysis. Introduces the use of the finite element method to perform stress analysis.
