Introduces methods for analyzing damage evolution in components subjected to cyclic loading conditions. Teaches analytical and numerical techniques for the analysis of non-permanent joints, shafts, bearings, gears, clutches, brakes, couplings, springs, belts, and chains. Provides an overview of the typical applications and design considerations associated with the aforementioned machine elements.
