Provides basic gravitation and orbital theory principles for spacecraft mission design. Includes maneuvers and mission profiles, orbit perturbations, trajectories, and selecting optimal orbit, rendezvous, and transfers to accomplish the ultimate goals of the mission. Reviews particle dynamics, classical orbital elements, fundamental transformation matrices, ground tracks, Hohmann transfer, and coplanar rendezvous.
