MUS A110 — Popular Songwriting 3 Credits

Explores songwriting from the perspective of both listener and composer. Examines the cultural context in which music is created, the technical construction of music, and the resultant ideas that music expresses. Engages students in hands-on work using digital audio workstations (DAWS) to compose and produce songs in popular styles. Special Note: No prior background in music is needed.
