NSG A610 — Pharmacology for Primary Care 3 Credits

Advanced level pharmacology course that assists health care professionals in selecting, prescribing and monitoring of pharmaceutical agents utilized in the primary care setting. Legend drugs, over-the-counter agents and some complementary therapeutics will be discussed. Emphasis is on the pharmacodynamics of medications most commonly prescribed. Registration Restrictions: Admission to graduate nursing program and current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Alaska.
