NURS A250 — Psychiatric Nursing 3 Credits
Focuses on the psychodynamics of the major mental illnesses and principles of psychiatric nursing across the lifespan. Emphasizes the application of nursing process and Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs along with adapting communication strategies to facilitate therapeutic intervention with patients who are experiencing mental health needs across the health-illness continuum and at varying developmental stages. Registration Restrictions: Admission to the fourth semester of the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing
