PSY A619 — School Psychology Assessment II: Cognitive and Academic Assessment 4 Credits

Teaches students advanced skills for the selection, administration, scoring, and interpretation of culturally appropriate measures of academic and cognitive skills. Embedded within a contextualized problem-solving model, students conduct supervised assessments using broad academic achievement tests, and cognitive measures to address learning challenges among school-age children and adolescents. Focuses on the use of assessment data, along with other sources of information, to write comprehensive evaluation reports that are linked to students’ learning needs. Special Note: Requires administration of assessments in the psychoeducational clinic. Registration Restrictions: Admission to the Master of Science in School Psychology-Specialist and graduate standing
