PSY A621 — School Crisis Prevention, Intervention, and Response 3 Credits
Introduces school crisis prevention, intervention, and response and the role of the school psychologist in an educational setting with relation to the multitiered system of support (MTSS) framework. Uses the PREPaRE framework to develop an in-depth understanding of the prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery in crisis situations. Adapts and applies crisis prevention, intervention, and response capacity to inform recovery and support within school psychology practice. Special Note: Requires in-person attendance for the completion of PREPaRE Workshop 1 (8 hrs) & PREPaRE Workshop 2 (12 hrs). Registration Restrictions: Graduate standing
