PSY A662 — School-Based Mental Health and Counseling 3 Credits

Provides a critical study and application of evidence-based and trauma-informed strategies and interventions to promote social and emotional functioning and health in school settings. Focuses on the design, implementation, and evaluation of individualized services that promote resilience and positive behavior, support adaptive skills, and enhance mental and behavioral health. Includes opportunity to develop skills and deliver individual and group social-emotional psychoeducational and counseling interventions. Special Note: Requires a 15-hour field placement. Registration Restrictions: Graduate standing
