SWK A429 — Trauma and Crisis Intervention in Social Work Practice 3 Credits
Presents the historical and theoretical basis of trauma and crisis intervention within the context of generalist social work practice. Prepares students to utilize empirically-supported approaches to engage, assess, intervene, and evaluate services with individuals, families, and communities experiencing trauma and crisis. Examines historical trauma, systemic oppression, and ethical concerns for marginalized populations.
