URS A388A — Developing a Scholarly Identity I 1 Credit
Supports students who are engaged in a formal Undergraduate Research experience. Focuses on the knowledge and issues that facilitate research and research-related career success and sense of belonging but that are often left implicit in other courses and mentored experiences. Emphasis is on navigating the culture of research. Special Note: Course should be taken alongside engagement in a formal research experience under the mentorship of a UAA faculty member. Students should anticipate identifying their mentor and project when class begins. Students are encouraged to take both URS A388A and URS A388B , but they may be taken independently or out of sequence.
