EDU 200 - Applied Child Development for Education Majors 1 cr. EDU 200 - Applied Child Development for Education Majors 1 cr. Students apply concepts and theories of child development while participating in a 20‐hour field experience in a Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 6 classroom. 00, recommendations of two SUNY Ulster instructors, enrollment in the Early Childhood and Childhood Education program, and required fingerprinting. Contact the Education Program Coordinator for fingerprint information. Semester(s) all Only Note: Students must have time available in their academic schedules to spend a minimum of 2 hours per week in the classroom (transportation arrangements are each student’s responsibility). School field placements are set up by the College.
