MAT 221 - History of Non-Western Math 3 cr. MAT 221 - History of Non-Western Math 3 cr. Students study, discuss and practice the historic mathematics associated with the non-Western world, including Africa, Asia, Central/South America and the Middle East. Topics to be covered will include various numeral systems, arithmetic algorithms, word problems, algebra, geometry and trigonometry. 3 hours lecture. Semester(s) May be by request
