ANTH4100 — Visual Anthropology

This course explores anthropological approaches to studying visual culture. Objects studied may include sand painting, tattoos, sculptures, cave painting, jewelry, hieroglyphics, painting, photographs, film and new media production. Students will have the opportunity to create visual objects as well as study visual cultures in a variety of contexts. prereq: minimum 30 credits
