Mechanisms underlying plant function, growth and development: metabolism, water relations, mineral nutrition, transport, internal and external regulators of growth and development, stress physiology, biotechnology. Lab exercises evaluate physiological processes that enable plants to grow under varied conditions found in nature, such as water relations, mineral nutrition, metabolism, growth and development. This course may have a course fee. prereq: BIOL 2201 and 1 year college chemistry, or IBS grad student
