This course introduces students to the field of Human Resource Management (HRM). Course materials and assignments are designed to help students understand why organization have an HRM function, what are the primary functional areas of HRM, how a well-developed HRM system can benefit organizations, and the respective roles of line managers, employees, and HRM professional in carrying out good HRM policies and practices. This course cannot be used to fulfill a LSBE major/minor requirement.
