Basic principles of speech science including, acoustic characteristics of speech; physiology of respiration, phonation, and resonance; and theories of speech perception and production. Clinical and research applications of speech science will also be discussed. prereq: CSD 1100, 2230, 2400, and CSD major; or instructor consent
