ECH3400 — Math, Science & Tech in EC
Development of content knowledge of early childhood mathematics and science topics, concepts and processes; investigation of appropriate monitoring strategies; use of a variety of technologies; ways in which early childhood environments can be designed and organized to support integrated, active, inquiry learning, with relevant experiences from a nature-based classroom, the outdoors, families and the local neighborhood. Developmentally appropriate content selection, lesson planning, teaching methods, materials, and assessment strategies, with particular focus on integrated STEAM learning experiences. This course includes a field experience.
