ECON2025 — Economics of Discrimination
This course introduces students to the reasons for differences in economic outcomes by race, gender, sexual orientation, and other personal characteristics which define differences among people. We will use economic theories of discrimination, statistical work on those theories, and policies designed to alleviate group-level differences in economic outcomes. This course is designed to make students aware of historical and current controversial topics early in their college life, and to educate students on how to discuss such topics in an inclusive and respectful manner.
