ECON3450 — Applied Regional Economics
The course provides students with a theoretical and applied foundation for understanding and analyzing a wide range of issues in regional economics . Students will have the opportunity to use real-world data, develop a working knowledge of model for measuring economic impact, understand basic tools for empirical analysis, and provide recommendations for business retention and expansion strategies in a community. Topics include geographic distribution of economic activity; data collection and interpretation; multipliers; location quotients; shift share; and economic impact analysis. pre-req: ECON 1003 OR (ECON 1022 AND ECON 1023)
