Discrete linear shift-invariant systems, Fourier and z-transforms, sampling, discrete time processing of signals, reconstruction of analog signals, filters and filter structures in direct, parallel, and cascaded forms, FIR & IIR digital filter design, impulse-invariance, bilinear transform & window functions, FFT. Lecture and lab, 4 CR. prereq: EE 2111 or graduate student; credit for EE 5746 will not be granted if credit already received for EE 4746.
