EES4800 — Environmental Geophysics

Near-surface geophysical techniques and their environmental applications. This course will include basic foundational theory to facilitate geophysical data collection and interpretation in applied environmental, geotechnical, and archeological problems. Lectures will provide the theory and background knowledge required to collect and interpret geophysical data. Lab exercises include hands-on experience in conducting geophysical surveys and data analysis. Credit for EES 4800 will not be granted if credit already received for GEOL3800, EES5800, PHYS4800, PHYS5800. No grad credit. pre-req: EES 1110 or 1130 or 1610 or GEOG 1414, and MATH 1290 or 1296 or 1596, and PHYS 1001 or PHYS 2013 or PHYS 2017, or instructor consent
