Investigating the foundations of public and community health using primary historical sites in the area now unified as Italy. Analyze the impact of social and cultural factors on community health from early civilizations through the Renaissance, with emphasis of effects of the Black Death. Examine the role of arts used to convene health information for non-literate populations.
