PHYS5800 — Environmental Geophysics

Near-surface geophysical techniques and their environmental applications. This course will include basic foundational theory to facilitate geophysical data collection and interpretation in applied environmental, geotechnical, and archeological problems. Lectures will provide the theory and background knowledge required to collect and interpret geophysical data. Lab exercises include hands-on experience in conducting geophysical surveys and data analysis. Credit for PHYS 5800 will not be given if credit already received for EES 4800/PHYS 4800/EES 5800. Prereq: graduate student or instructor consent.
