The Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Physical Education is for students preparing for teacher licensure in physical education (K-12). The major aligns to the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) standards for Physical Education in grades K-12 in Minnesota. The program is taught using the Learner-Sensitive Educator Model, supporting preferences of reflection, social justice, collaboration, empowerment, and technology. Students are required to obtain personal liability insurance to protect them while they are working in public school situations.
