Survey of select global artists and movements from the end of WWII to the present, considering these in their theoretical, historical, social, and artistic contexts. Particular attention is given to contemporary art's relationships to economic, cultural, and technological shifts in postwar society and to globalization, as well as issues of gender and race. prereq: any 1xxx ArtH course or soph or greater status
