BIOL2002W — Hist of Evolutionary Thought
A survey of ideas about change, transformation, development, and evolution from Aristotle to Newton to Darwin to modern evolutionary biology, including discussion of controversies that have complicated the field. There will also be weekly writing sessions to produce essays on relevant aspects of interest to the student, a final comprehensive term paper, multiple in-class presentations, and a one-on-one evaluative conversation with the instructor.
