BIOL4351 — Conservation Biology
Conservation theory and practice, including threats to biodiversity and approaches to overcoming them. Topics include: habitat loss and fragmentation, overexploitation, climate change and invasive species, population viability analysis using demographic and genetic models, reserve design and management and ex situ measures. Emphasis on primary literature. (two 65-min lect, one 180-min lab). prereq: Biol 2101, Biol 3131
