This course supports second or third year students pursuing teacher licensure. The course introduces students to teaching with a focus on planning, instructing, assessing, and reflecting. Topics include student-centered instructional strategies, differentiated instruction, unit and lesson planning, resources to support the new MN Academic State Standards, curriculum development and assessment creation, classroom routines, restorative practices and meeting the needs, strengths, and interests of all K-12 children in all aspects of teaching process. prereq: sophomore standing; coreq 2111
