ENGL2127 — Reanimating the Past

2 credits · 2 hours

In this course students will be introduced to a variety of library and archival sources that authors have used as the foundations for fiction. Historical records, newspapers and journals, archived diaries and photographs will be used in class exercises to enrich a vision of life as it has been lived. Student projects will include both the discovery of their own sources as well as a number of writing exercises in which those sources are used.
