The study of the representation of women, men, and queer identities in Francophone literature and film. Discussion of models of femininity and masculinity, and LGBTQAA+ identities and how the dual system of sexuality and gender is problematic. Examination of various models of Feminist and Queer Theory from Africa and the Caribbean and how they may differ from American or French models. Meets Francophone Studies (FRS) requirement in French major. prereq: (or coreq) 3011
