HIST1304 — U.S. Hist: Rec to the Present
This course examines methods, themes and problems in United States history beginning with the Reconstruction Period and extending to the Present. Its primary focus is the continued tension between Enlightenment Era ideals emphasizing human freedom, equality and the primacy of reason and the persistent reality of inequality premised on race, gender, class and ethnicity in American life.
