IS1323 — Landscape of Northern Italy
During this nine-day eight-night program, participants have the opportunity to experience a sustainable farm and 13th century castle in the town of Dorf Tirol. Participants experience the culture and history surrounded by castles, fortresses, and churches. Participants are also introduced to geologic processes such as mountain building, mass movement, and flooding; understanding climate change through the observation of vegetation changes and glacier fluctuations; soil and water resources and the archaeological record of the nature of human settlements in the Italian Alps and Venice.
