IS3054 — Communities in Brazil

Students engage in a place-based experience in Brazil and develop international skills of community engagement, intercultural communication, and human rights awareness. Students, faculty, community leaders, and teachers study and experience the importance of empowering communities through multiple fronts, including social movements in Brazil. Students engage in intercultural exchange before departure to Brazil, as well as learn about spaces of existence and resistance in Minnesota that power social movements, foster belonging, and build community.
