This honors class explores the world of pseudoarchaeology and archaeological fraud, from Atlantis to aliens. Discuss why myths and pseudoscience are so prevalent in popular representations of the past, and whose interests are served by them. Students engage in scientific outreach through the media of their choice to spread the word about archaeological truth and fiction. prereq: participation in the Honors program
