This class explores creativity and its practices through various lenses. Students will examine creativity through diverse perspectives, including neurological and psychological viewpoints, the impact of attention and digital technologies on creativity, and mythologies about the creative process. The class will cover major historical and contemporary creative luminaries as well as the creative drive in seminal works of poetry, literature, visual art, music, architecture, dance, and more. Students will also learn practices to develop and refine their own creative impulses. Some evening/weekend events may be required. prereq: participation in the Honors Program
