This course is designed to give students a fundamental understanding of financial analysis, with a focus on innovative funding methods for drug discovery and testing, as well as an overview of the historical financial risks and returns in the biopharma industry. It aims to provide insights into how costly medications and treatments can be made available to patients in need. Through exploring topics such as valuation, portfolio theory, and option pricing, students will gain the knowledge needed to develop improved funding strategies for healthcare projects.
