SOC3205 — Boomtowns/Ghost Towns
This course will examine the boomtown/ghost town dynamic through a political ecological lens. We will focus on the community, economic, and environmental consequences of boomtowns/ghost towns in rural areas around the globe. Students will engage with political and environmental sociological theories and apply these to real world cases.
